Greater Austin Area


The greater Austin area continues to see incredible growth- As of the 2012 U.S. census estimate, greater Austin has a population of over 1.8 million people.

Many large employers reside in the area including the U.S. and Texas Governments, Dell Computers, IBM, Advanced Micro Devices, Seton Healthcare Network, and Freescale Semiconductor.

Unemployment was 5.4 % in March 2013 (6.4% Statewide, 7.6% U.S.).

Georgetown


The town of Georgetown was incorporated in 1848.

The town's Historic charm is preserved throughout downtown Georgetown where victiorian architecture span tree-lined avenues.

Numerous shopping centers and dining found in convenient areas of the city.

Lake Georgetown and the San Gabriel River trail system provide year-round recreation.

Southwestern University is located a few blocks from Downtown Georgetown.
